From employees to business owners, John and Amanda Bambling are now the proud new owners of Bambling Rural – gympierealestate.com.au. 

The office, which formerly housed Ray White Rural and gympierealestate.com.au is located on the Bruce Highway right next to Pizza Hut and is now complete with a new corporate image plus modern and relevant rebranding of the old identity.  

Long time clients of the business will be pleased to find the same friendly faces of rural property specialists John Bambling and Mike Ostwald. You will find them in the same location but with a change of ownership and a totally new look and feel. 

Amanda Bambling (Johns’ wife) is Principal and Licensee while the experience of Melinda Meerman joins the team as office manager. John and Mike were formerly employed by Ray White Rural Gympie and Amanda Bambling was formerly with gympierealestate.com.au.   

Amanda noted, ‘In creating our new business image, we wanted to retain the gympierealestate.com.au name to include its strong and well regarded affiliation with residential and commercial property as part of our business whilst at the same time incorporate Bambling Rural into the business providing a strong rural focus to reflect the region we live in and to take full advantage of the many years of expertise John and Mike already have in rural property sales.’  

Amanda also mentioned. ‘Our rebranding combines the formerly separate rural and residential real estate agencies to reflect the fact that now we sell all types of real estate including rural, residential, businesses and commercial property throughout the Gympie region.’ 

The real estate office provides clients with a prime position on the Bruce Highway giving maximum exposure for your property to both local and north and south bound traffic. 

The former owner built the building almost 30 years ago and has operated successful real estate agencies from it ever since. John Bambling, who has been operating out of the building as a specialist rural consultant for the past 7 years said ‘we have wanted to open our own real estate business for some time, but like any real estate purchase, we wanted to wait for a premises in the right position to operate from because this is a long term venture for us.’  

John also said, ‘We love Gympie, the people and the rural community we live in and are very proud to market and promote the outstanding real estate of our region.’ 

When asked about Bambling Rural’s future plans Amanda said, ‘Our long term business goals are to combine the strong people connection and experience of John and Mike in rural real estate and the strong residential and commercial connections of the former gympierealestate.com.au business built up over many years to make Bambling Rural – gympierealestate.com.au the premier real estate agency in the Gympie region.

John Bambling 

Born and bred Gunalda, north of Gympie, John has more than 21 years experience selling rural real estate in the Gympie region as well as being the fourth generation of farmers and cattle producer’s on his own property north of gympie.  John started selling real estate at Dalgetys when he was 24 years old, moving on to Washington Developments and then to operate his own property development business completing and marketing several semi-rural subdivisions near Tewantin and Cooroy for a period of 5 years. After completing those projects John worked for Ray White Rural Gympie for a further 7 years before commencing his own business Bambling Rural gympierealestate.com.au on 15 April 2010. John lives and breathes real estate and is passionate about rural living and bringing people together to share in the lifestyle. 

Amanda Bambling 

Born and bred in Goondiwindi Amanda has over 10 years experience managing their farming and cattle business at Gunalda, Amanda loves working with people and property in the rural sector.  Amanda’s previous work history includes the last two years selling residential and commercial property with Gympie Real Estate. Before moving to Gympie to marry John Amanda worked for local and state governments in research, policy and marketing.  Amanda is half way through a psychology degree studying externally through the University of Southern Qld and also manages her own property investment portfolio.  She believes that it is the experience of her team that counts for successfully selling real estate in the gympie region. 

Mike Ostwald

Born and bred on a dairy farm, Mike owned and operated rural properties in Monto for 17 years before moving to Gympie where he had over 12 years experience selling real estate in the Gympie region and north western Qld. Mike has a passion for the Gympie region, being descendent from some of the first settlers moving to Gympie during the Gold Rush to mine gold.  He is a true bushy at heart.  In recent years he owned and operated a thriving tourist business in the Northern Territory before returning to his property just outside of Gympie in 2007 to continue his passion for real estate in the Gympie region.
